Yseult has been in Kirkwall since around mid-summer 9:44, quietly going about normal day-to-day Scouting business. She takes fieldwork assignments whenever possible, and was otherwise staffed mostly on encrypting and decrypting communications with Inquisition agents elsewhere in Thedas. She has participated in several undercover missions in Tevinter, including the rescue of the agents held captive in the Archon's palace. In early Harvestmere 9:44 she was appointed Assistant Leader of the Hostile Powers project. In Cloudreach 9:45 she left that role to become head of the Scouting division.


She's always polite and seems reasonably friendly if approached, but mostly keeps to herself outside of division business and official missions, and very little is known about her beyond the basics: she has a variation of a Free Marcher accent, and has spent many years doing covert work. Those who've been on missions with her find she tends to remain calm and professional under pressure.

As Division Head, she is dedicated, efficient, and no-nonsense, and clearly expects those she works with to be the same. As long as work is getting done well and on time, she doesn't seem interested in micro-managing, but she can be stingy with information and often seems to prefer to simply handle things herself rather than bother delegating. She has never appointed an assistant nor shown a preference for any particular division member as an informal second-in-command. She is open about being singularly committed to defeating Corypheus, and is wary of Riftwatch members who might prioritize other agendas above that goal. If she has a secondary agenda of her own, there has been no evidence of it.

Her relationship with the other division heads appears to be civil and generally respectful, but not close.

She can be found working at all hours, but on the rare occasion that she is not, she can occasionally be spotted in the chapel, on the training grounds, or keeping an ear to the ground in various parts of the city. Darras Rivain has been living in her quarters in the Scouting suite since he returned from the presumed-dead in mid-9:45, but she doesn't generally mention him or acknowledge their relationship unless directly questioned.


• Scouting business: as the Division Head, she has made a point to be available to all division members or others interested/involved in Scouting work, particularly if they want to discuss ideas for potential missions, or need advice about how to get involved.
• Spy missions! Any and all kinds of spy missions and other covert work.
• Makes a great discreet bodyguard.
• Has some piracy-related contacts around the Waking Sea and is interested in keeping tabs on the Inquisition's relationship to various pirate groups.
• Generally keeps her nose out of politics, but is more pro-authority than most.
• Usually willing to teach skills related to moving unnoticed through hostile territory and escaping capture, may offer some wider training on those subjects at some point.
